HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN FACE AND/OR BODY PAINTING?
It was back in year 2000 when I attended a Bday party and saw a few teenage Face painters painting the faces of the kids. I just graduated Highschool then and have to save for college the following year, so, luckily, when i applied at the party needs Pipperland Productions (One of the poppular party needs in Manila Philippines back then) and they tested my ability to paint on skin and time pressure, i got accepted as one of their artist. Since then, I look forward to my next parties and paint the new ideas i got dancing on my head the whole day. I was and still am inlove with this kind of Art, i think till my last breath.
WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE THAT?
Before that, I was very active at Schools drawing competitions and keeping the champion spot till i graduated. (I didn't really like the feeling... Coz the other students back-out whenever they know i am in the contest. Except my teachers are the one who list me in...sigh)
WHAT DO YOU NOW BESIDES FACE AND/OR BODY PAINTING?
I can do Henna tattoo, permanent tattoo, Caricature, Murals, Stage set-up design for Events or parties, Styro cutting/art/sculpture, Pottery, and almost anything about Art and related art i will give a Go. And the profession i choose, Architecture.
WHAT PAINT BRANDS ARE YOUR FAVORITES? WHY?
In the Philippines, access to body paints are VERY limitted. The only paint that you could buy there is Snazaroo Range... I have used Mehron Liquid paints, Snazaroo, and DFX. I use mainly Snazaroo and Mehron to kids at parties and DFX for myself and for older kids and kids at heart, coz they bring out the color and vibrancy I expect to my art. I am open to try other brands very soon!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO PAINT?
I don't think i have a favorite... Any shape, color, or whatever i feel and think will look good, i will paint. I love to paint new things, I try not to stick to one idea... And whatever pleases my client, as long as it's wholesome, I will paint it for them.
IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE ABOUT YOUR CAREER AS A FACE/BODY PAINTER THAT YOU WOULD LIKE OTHERS TO KNOW ABOUT?
I just love colors and sharing my art to people. I love painting on skin and to whatever, and i will continue to paint till I can't paint no more. Besides, God said, "SHARE YOUR BLESSINGS" and it's what im doing, sharing the blessing of Art he gave me.

How did you get started in face and/or body painting?
I was looking for a job that will allow me to do something creative and dident take up all the weekend away from my kids. But before that I had done paintings. I did a mural on my daughters room, and received a lot of compliments. So I gained confidence from that and wanted to start painting. I started working for an entertaiment company and did face painting for Birthday partys and special events. Once I had enough courage and confidence in what I was painting I started practicing body painting on my kids and family. And I since can't stop thinking of many things to paint.
What did you do before that?
I've been a stay home mother. And now that I found my passion my goal is to continue painting and get professional classes. I'm interested in learning acrylics and getting into special effects make-up.
What paint brands are your favorites?why?
When I started working in face painting the only brand I knew was snazaroo. And I've been painting with it since. But I currently work with a special friend and she introduced me to wolfe and diamond fx (which I had never heard of) and I will definately get my hands on them. I tried the wolfe and I love its cream texture and how smooth the lines come out..
What is your favorite thing to paint?
I don't particularly have a favorite thing to paint. I love to push myself and make it a challenge every time I think of painting something new. But I do enjoy painting day of the dead faces. And would love to try any body paint that looks like real clothing.
Is there something else....
I've learn that in this field there's different types of style of painting. Because everyone has their own imagination we are all different. As for me I do have my favorite painters that I look up too, but even if I try to imitate their paintings my own touch will come out. And that's what I love about art. Everyone has their own soul and will show it through their work. Everyone should have their uniqueness and there will always be someone who will admire your work. :)
